Society
is changing and we feel we have a duty to inform and educate our young people on
the consequences of drug use and misuse, whilst also appreciating that, there
are parental and community issues over which we have no control.
It
is our belief that all young people need the skills to help them to resist
negative peer and social pressures and allow them to develop positive life
styles and values which will enable them to respect and value themselves and
others.
With
this in mind the college has developed a Drugs Education programme delivered
through Pastoral and Social Education (PSE) and Religious Education programmes.
This involves visiting speakers and agencies running workshops where appropriate.
